The work
Bring the reported fault and the source code you have. We compare the repository with the deployed application, check the setup and try to reproduce the behavior. This establishes what can be tested before a repair is proposed.
The work can include correcting application logic, updating dependencies, repairing queries or restoring build and deployment steps. We distinguish defects from requested features so a change in requirements does not get lost inside the repair list.
An unsupported component may force a wider change. In that case, we identify the affected code, stored data and external connections before agreeing the repair. Checks cover the changed behavior and the surrounding functions that depend on it.
Technical considerations
- Assessment requires access to the relevant source and enough environment information to reproduce the reported problem.
- Changes to unsupported components may require a wider update if compatible versions or vendor interfaces are no longer available.
